At Michigan Adoptee Collaborative, we strive to improve outcomes for adoptees by providing advocacy, education and support with the adoption community. Creating a safe place where adoptees can meet for support has been essential in our mission at MAC.
We are proud to announce that we are building a state-wide program, Adoptee Circles, where adult adoptees are invited to come together to speak openly about the lifelong journey of adoption. We create a supportive environment to promote healing and individual growth through a sense of community.
Adoptee Circle Virtual Meetings
These are open to adult adoptees, 18 years and older. We are holding them every Wednesday and staggering the times between lunch (12-1 pm) and after dinner (7-8 pm) so people working at different times can participate. All meet ups are free and are hosted on zoom.
Our focus for this ongoing series is Coping with Covid. Each week, we will share an idea, skill, or topic to explore for the week and then each person has an opportunity to share their story during our check in time.
You can join in 2 ways. Send an email to Erica at urbancurry@gmail.com and I will send you a calendar invite with the meeting link, or put the following meeting dates, times and links provided here into your calendar. Please join us for 1 or more of these days. Looking forward to connecting!
